Village of Drumbo Area Study & Secondary Plan
Project background
The Township of Blandford-Blenheim and Oxford County have initiated the process of conducting an Area Study and development of a Secondary Plan for the Village of Drumbo, to address the planned growth for the Village. The development of a Land Use Plan for the Village is a community initiative. Engagement with the community, in a variety of formats will be essential in creating a document that has community support, and that can be embraced by residents and businesses as the community continues to grow.
The creation of the Village of Drumbo Secondary Plan is an exciting project that will:
- Establish a vision for Drumbo that takes into account both the existing community character and plans for new growth;
- Develop recommendations and a Plan to accommodate new growth;
- Provide multiple opportunities for the community and interested stakeholders to provide input.
The Township has retained MHBC Planning to undertake this exciting project for the community.
What's occurred to date?
Two previous drafts of the Drumbo Secondary Plan have been presented to Township Council to date.
A draft of the Drumbo Secondary Plan was presented at a Township Council Meeting for consideration. The Council Meeting was held on Wednesday, October 19th from 4:00 pm at the Township Council Chambers, 47 Wilmot St. South, Drumbo.
A second draft of the Drumbo Secondary Plan was presented to Township Council at a Council Meeting held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 4:00 pm in the Township Council Chambers, 47 Wilmot St. South, Drumbo.
What's next?
Following discussion at the January 11, 2023 Council Meeting, the proposed Secondary Plan was revised and is now scheduled to be considered at the March 15, 2023 Council meeting at 4:00 pm in the Township Council Chambers, 47 Wilmot St. South, Drumbo.
