Camp 85 Information Night

The Volunteer Firefighters of Blandford-Blenheim will be organizing a new program for young adults within our local communities to be known as Camp 85. This year Camp 85 is dedicated to focusing on empowering young women between the ages of 14-18 to see a role in fire services being accessible and rewarding not only to themselves and their career of choice but also to the communities they thrive in.

 Our July 2023, 5-day camp program mission is to educate, empower and inspire the next generation of future female fire professionals. 

 Each of our 4 Township Fire Stations will be responsible for an assigned firefighting discipline to teach participants through hands on learning and practical skills with an emphasis on safety and teamwork. Each day will also include a guest speaker to excite and empower the participants. Graduation day is open for family members to see what was learned and show their support in experience and future interest.

 Community sponsors and financial contributions will significantly help fund this camp that will be free to participants.
